Jor-El, a Kryptonian scientist and Council Member, rescues his son Kal-El from the dying planet by launching the baby to Earth.
002 "The Last Son of Krypton" Part Two
Young Clark Kent discovers his true identity; and, as an adult, presents himself to Metropolis as Superman.
003 The Last Son of Krypton" Part Three
Superman thwarts a plot by Lex Luthor to sell the LEXO-SKEL SUIT 5000 to Kaznian terrorists, via their agent John Corben.
Superman rescues Metropolis thug Bruno Mannheim - and Lois - from the vengeful Toyman.
Lex Luthor discovers Superman's vulnerability to Kryptonite, and attempts to exploit this weakness to rid himself once and for all of the Man of Steel.
Thanks to the orchestrations of Lex Luthor, terrorist John Corben becomes Metallo, a skin-covered cyborg with a Krytonite heart. Luthor then sets the supervillain on a quest to kill Superman.
After toxic chemicals transform janitor Rudy Jones into the energy-draining Parasite, he imprisons Superman,, intent on keeping the Man of Steel as his own personal power source.

014 "Blasts from the Past" Part One
Superman decides to release Mala, a Kryptonian criminal, from the Phantom Zone, but when Mala proves too power-hungry for this world, Superman tries to send her back. Mala escapes with the Phantom Zone Projector and releases Krypton's most notorious traitor, Jax-Ur.
Brainiac, having stored himself in LexCorp's computers, forces Lex Luthor to build him a new body -- while Superman and Mercy Graves team up to rescue Mercy's ungrateful boss.
An amnesiac Metallo surfaces on a volcanic island, and in his conclusion ' becomes a super-hero to a pair of young children. But his true nature returns as both Lois and Superman arrive to investigate -and the volcano begins to erupt!
017 "Blasts from the Past" Part Two
Intent on conquering the world, Jax-Ur and Mala send Superman into the Phantom Zone, and then destroy the Projector. As their decimating attacks begin, it's up to Lois and Professor Hamilton to rescue the Man of Steel in time.
Radio shock-jock Leslie Willis is turned into a being of pure electricity, and begins her media-crazed rampage to drain Metropolis' power and kill Superman in the bargain.
Lois is the "target" of explosive revenge from a one-time Lexcorp inventor, named Edward Lytener.
Superman encounters Bizarro, an imperfect genetic double of The Man of Steel, who tries to take Superman's place as Metropolis' hero.
The Man of Steel is challenged to a battle of wits by Mxyzptlk, a playful yet pixilating imp from the fifth dimension.
The Flash teams up with Superman to counter Mark Mardon, a.k.a. "The Weather Wizard," who holds Metropolis hostage with the threat of unleashing a killer hurricane.

Superman encounters Titano, a monkey lost in outer space when Lois was a child. After Lois and Titano are reunited, the monkey goes through a metamorphous, growing into a rampaging King Kong-sized chimp, who Superman must take on to save Metropolis from the primate's uncontrolled scourge.
A giant humanoid creature with incredible strength and heat-sapping abilities, falls to Earth and now threatens the planet. Superman has to fight the creature's advances and send it back into outer space.
Kalibak, son of Darkseid, arrives in Metropolis to kill Superman, and subsequently show his ability as a warrior to his father.
A dormant spirit released from an ancient artifact, invades a petty thief, creating a monster named Karkull. Superman must gain the assistance of Doctor Fate to battle this monster.
Bizarro, after visiting Superman's Fortress of Solitude, sees the demise of Krypton. Believing this is his own past, Bizarro constructs a "Krypton" in downtown Metropolis with the intent to blow it up in the same manner that Krypton exploded.
A super-strong mechanical suit of armor stands as a threat to both villains and the innocent citizens of Metropolis. Piloted by an S.C.U. officer who becomes one with the suit, only Superman can thwart off the danger posed by this new multi-faceted, yet increasingly dangerous crime-fighting device.
As Clark Kent rushes to save an innocent man from dying in the gas chamber, he is involved in an auto accident and thought to be dead. But the eyewitness is unreliable, allowing Clark to emerge and find the man who should truly be in the gas chamber -- Detective Kurt Bowman.
033 "Apokolips ... Now!" Part One
Darkseid brings his battle against Superman to Earth. While all looks hopeless, Orion, an escapee from Apokolips' firepits, teams up with Superman to defeat Darkseid's advances.
Superman teams up with Steel (John Henry Irons), to take on a much modified and improved Metallo.
035 "Apokolips ... Now!" Part Two
Steppenwolf, a hunter from Apokolips, joins Darkseid in his battle to take over Earth, which results in a crushing blow to Metropolis and Superman -- the death of Dan Turpin.
Maxima, Queen of Almerac, chases Superman as a potential mate. She takes the Man of Steel up to her planet, where, as she prepares to marry him, Superman educates Maxima that a mate isn't something to take, but a person who is won over and loved.
While Superman is exploring the remains of his home world of Krypton, he finds a teenage girl who is the last survivor of Argos, a sister planet of Krypton who's civilization was destoyed when Krypton exploded. He brings her to Earth where she discovers that she has superpowers like Superman's. Wanting to prove herself, she single-handedly takes on Granny Goodness and the rejuevinated Intergang.
When Granny Goodness calls upon her Female Furies from Apokolips for help, Superman comes to his "cousins" aid. When the Furies capture Superman and take him to Apokolips, it is up to Supergirl to rescue him. She must free him before Earth is destroyed by a deadly comet which has been directed to Earth by Darkseid's minion, Granny Goodness.
Joker steals a statue made of solid Kryptonite and comes to Metropolis where he makes a deal-with Luthor to kill Superman. But Batman follows him to Metropolis.
Lois's romance with Bruce Wayne is almost nipped in the bud when Joker kidnaps her in order to lure Superman to his death. Batman's intervention saves the day and soon after, Lois tells a heartbroken Clark that she will be transferring to Gotham City in order to be with Bruce. But the move is postponed when Joker sics a killer robot on Batman and Superman must rescue a sinking ocean liner.
041 "World's Finest" Part Three
Lois's romance with Bruce Wayne hits rough waters when she discovers that he is Batman. Meanwhile, Luthor attempts to dissolve his partnership with Joker, but Joker turns the tables,, kidnapping Luthor and using the powerful new Lexwing aircraft to attack Metropolis. Superman and Batman must put aside their differences and work as a team to stop the remainder of Luthor's killer-robots and then save the city.
